Renee Brown, creator of Bayou Brew, brings a background in holistic medicine and herbal therapy as well as a family passion for authentic Southern style iced tea.  Bayou Brew first came to be when she began exploring ways to improve the healthful quality of traditional Southern sweet tea.  Renee experimented with fruit and herbal blends until she perfected recipes that are loved by friends, family and neighbors. Her father, musician Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown, was an avid tea enthusiast as well as critic so it was critical that Bayou Brew combined the right balance of flavor and functionality.

Today Bayou Brew Wellness Tea  has become a cherished tradition at local Farmers markets in the New Orleans area whose mission is to bring local residents together and to rebuild the community.
